Brule Hunt #3

Estonia 🇪🇪

Sun, Dec 11, 12:00 PM (UTC)

Law of Reciprocity in (soon to be) intimate relationships. This is the last Brule Hunt before the New Year. Our intention will be to discuss self-respect in the context of interactions with our loved ones. We might often find ourselves struggling with questions like "Why should I do it first?" - what are the BRULES behind this? I this event vibes with you, please RSVP asap!

About this event

Sometimes it is rather challenging to take the lead and model behaviours that we ourselves wish to see in others. Why is it so hard to BE the change we want to see in the world - or better - in our loved ones?

The more we grow, the more capacity we have to allow ourselves to be vulnerable with other people, and take the lead in doing what we wish was done to us most.

But to be able to really do that, we might need to go deeper and tackle the question of self-respect - are we respecting ourselves by not taking the lead, or are we hiding? Is it about pride, or is it about humility and proactiveness? Can there be a balance between the both?

I would love us to hold space with each other and exchange our stories, beliefs and needs without trying to change or enforce anything on each other. Let's discuss and help each other hunt some Brules.

This is where growth begins. By identifying the source of the issue. Or at least by finding some small clue that might push us toward the right direction in our (inter)personal and spiritual growth.

If you are a newbie to Mindvalley and the concept of Brule isn't familiar to you yet, please refer to the following definition coined by Vishen Lakhiani:
A Brule is a bullshit rule that society adopts to simplify its understanding of the world.

P.S.:

Not much preparation in advance is required for this event.

I recommend watching the following video of the podcast hosting Mathew Hussey - relationship coach and expert:

To facilitate our discussion, please think of 2-3 situations in which you know you held yourself back from "doing something first" because you expected the other person to take the lead.

For the purpose of having intimate and free flowing discussion, this event is for up to 6 people.
