National Novel Writing Month, NaNoWriMo, was started back in 1999. Now, it's a global event and every year thousands of people "win" that month, November. How to win? All you need to do is to write 50K words in 30 days. The quality is not important yet. Quantity is the key here. You simply need to get these words down. You can edit later, in January or so. But first... to have something to edit in the future, you do need that 1st draft! The concept of NaNoWriMo helps to let go of the fear of writer's block. The tempo is fast enough, so you would not have too much time to worry about the quality of your writing or about being an impostor. You grind on. It's like training: even a bad training day is better than a no-training day. Keep going and you will get there eventually. In this writing café, we get together to write some words. The café opens at 7:30am. Come early if you want to do some quiet writing. 8:00 am - Writing discussion - how's everyone's writing going? Insights of NaNoWriMo. 8:30-9:15 am - Let's write together! Enjoy the synergy of creating in the same space with others. Once you feel you're done, you can leave and go on with your day. Work on your NaNoWriMo novel, create Christmas postcards, or work on any other creative project. Come to the café as a seasoned writer or a writing novice. Doesn't matter. Everyone is welcome. Everyone brings their energy to the table. Together, we'll create some real magic. Bring a pen and notebook. You can read more about the concept here: https://nanowrimo.org/about-nanoThe agenda:
