As discussed, we will hold monthly cold plunges during the winter months at the Seebadi Seeliken, prior to our monthly meet-ups. The goal of cold plunges is on one hand to learn to not be afraid of the cold and also to realize how the body adapts to the cold & learn to trust the natural process. We will stay for about 3 minutes in the water. Bring your swimwear, towel and a woolly hat. 

Parking location is at Parkhaus Casino https://goo.gl/maps/YdxZsXxbGyd3aTGEA or any street parking nearby, as parking is free on Sundays in the town of Zug. 

For public transport, take a bus #3 (direction Oberwil) , #5 (direction Walchwil), or #14 (direction Zug Gimenen) from the main train station to the stop Zug Casino.

Afterwards we go to the Freiruum either by car (5 minutes) or on foot (20 minutes). Usually you can catch a ride with anyone who's there by car.

If you are worried about the cold, it may help to do the following to prepare yourself for the cold plunge 😊. Finish your daily shower with cold water (right leg, backside and then the front, to be followed by the left leg, right arm and then left arm. Ignore the trunk at the beginning). Stay for at least 15 seconds at each body part. During your cold shower focus to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth. Breathe deep into your belly. If you feel comfortable over time you can include the central body parts. Stay 1 to 3 minutes under the cold shower. Always finish the shower with warm water at the end. You will feel very refreshed and clear minded.

Important! If you have cardio-vascular problems or do not feel 100% fit, you should not go into the cold water!
